Overview
The Efficiency metric measures how effectively a player wins matches relative to the maximum possible efficiency. It's calculated as:
Efficiency = Matches ÷ (Rounds ÷ 10)
Understanding the Formula
- Matches: Number of won matches
- Rounds: Number of won rounds
- 10: Maximum rounds per match (baseline)
Interpretation
- Efficiency > 2.5: Likely winning by score limit (reaching 30 points quickly, typically in <7 rounds)
- Efficiency ≈ 1.0-1.5: Likely winning by round limit (reaching 10 rounds)
- Efficiency = 0: No matches won (only individual rounds)
- Efficiency = ∞: Edge case (matches won but zero rounds recorded)
Statistical Summary
The page shows outlier-trimmed statistics to provide robust measures. Statistics are calculated from a filtered subset of players who meet minimum activity criteria:
Filtering for Statistics Calculation
- Players are included in statistics if they meet at least one of these criteria:
- At least 1 won match, OR
- At least 5 won rounds
- Players not meeting either criterion are excluded from statistics but still appear in the table
- This ensures statistics are based on meaningful gameplay data
Outlier Removal
- Top and bottom 5% of (filtered) players are excluded from statistics
- This prevents extreme values from skewing the analysis
- Individual outliers are marked with ⚠ (low) or ⚡ (high) symbols
Key Statistics
- Median efficiency: Middle value when all efficiencies are sorted (50th percentile)
- Q1 (First Quartile): 25th percentile - 25% of players have efficiency below this
- Q3 (Third Quartile): 75th percentile - 75% of players have efficiency below this
- IQR (Interquartile Range): Q3 - Q1, measures the middle 50% spread
Outlier Detection Method
A player is marked as a statistical outlier if their efficiency falls outside the range:
[Q1 - 1.5×IQR, Q3 + 1.5×IQR]
- Low outlier ⚠: Efficiency < Q1 - 1.5×IQR
- High outlier ⚡: Efficiency > Q3 + 1.5×IQR
